Huskie News/Handbook

Some reminders as we get the season going.... Players and parents are not allowed to park in dirt parking lot next to Stadium.  That is reserved for school district personnel, coaches and families, visiting teams equipment vehicles/coaches/families, and of course the purple bus.  Everyone else is expected to park in the parking lots. Attendance Players are expected to be at all team activities.  This includes practices, games, study halls, etc.  If a player has an unexcused absence they will not play that week.  3 unexcused absences the player will no longer have the privilege to play at Douglas County High School.  I understand that illnesses and other things happen.  The player is expected to contact me or Coach Hartman (if they are a 9th grade player) before practice if they will be missing. Accountability and reliability is a big part of being a football player.  It is also important that players know the game plan.  This is a safety issue.   Vacations, Hunting Trips etc are not excused absences.  We will have practice on Labor Day and over Fall Break. Attendance guidelines and other program policies are outlined in the Player and Parent Handbook.  You can find the Handbook under the forms tab and I will also attach them at the bottom of this post.   Sportsmanship is important.  Please remember to cheer on your player and our team.  Looking forward to having a great season!!
